Wenatchee High School Addition
The DOH Associates designed a new entry and commons expansion to the Wenatchee High School. As security becomes more important in the schools providing an access point that is distinguishable and easily controlled has become more important. The new entry provides immediate access to the administration offices and the commons area. The Commons was expanded to provide for a larger seating area during lunches and a public presentation area.
The project also incorporated a new bus lane and reorganized the parking lot to improve conflicts. The DOH Associates has also been involved with the re-roofing the High School, providing new bleachers and gym flooring, improving ADA access, adding video surveillance systems, improving the HVAC systems, restoring the running track, renovating the theater loading gallery, and providing services to improve the building security through vestibules and access controls.
