Grant County International Airport
The DOH Associates was selected to design a new terminal to accommodate the growth in air travel in Moses Lake including projected significant increases in the near future as well.
The project entailed the specific requirements of an air terminal which included airline ticketing and handling, security gates, arriving passenger lounges, baggage claim, and rental car agents. In addition to these basic needs an office for the U. S. Customs agent was provided along with the offices for the Port of Moses Lake staff. Early workshops with Horizon Air and the Port of Moses Lake determined the bay size established for airline use. Construction of Horizon's space was completed simultaneously with the terminal construction.
This was the first airport terminal designed by DOH Associates and was so well received by managers of other airports that the DOH Associates were selected to design the new airport terminal at Walla Walla Regional Airport.
